Darian wanted green in his room. He picked out a really nice green color from Pittsburgh Paints called "Cavern Moss." We chose "Sand Fossil" as the accompanying color since we figured painting the whole room green would be a bit much. When Michel and I were finishing up the second coat of the "Sand Fossil" color last night, we were discussing using the same color in other parts of the house. I think it is about to become our 'unifying' color for the house. Michel put the ceiling fan up last week after we painted the ceiling, so the boys would have a light in there last weekend when we spent the night out in the house and the boys were playing in Darian's room. It also came in handing when we were painting in there this week.

Darian's Room is painted
Darian wanted green in his room. He picked out a really nice green color from Pittsburgh Paints called "Cavern Moss." We chose "Sand Fossil" as the accompanying color since we figured painting the whole room green would be a bit much. When Michel and I were finishing up the second coat of the "Sand Fossil" color last night, we were discussing using the same color in other parts of the house. I think it is about to become our 'unifying' color for the house. It also came in handing when we were painting in there this week.
Moving In....?
You'd think Michel and the boys were moving in with all the stuff they took out to the new house last Friday night (April 3) when we spent the night out there. Dillon took out several of his cars, Darian took a couple of Megaman figures, they both took some of their stuffed bears, Michel took the TV and stand out of Darian's room out there, along with the Playstation 2, and Michel finally got to move his computer and a server out there. What did I take out? I took my laptop but only for the night. I brought it back into the old house the next morning. Oh, and I took the all the bedding (minus a couple of pillows) for the air mattresses.
Besides spending the night out in the house, we also had dinner out there. Bea cooked the marinated turkey we got from the Odon Locker and I fixed baked potatoes. It was a nice family meal spent in the new house.
Pictures are of the stuff that got 'moved in' last weekend.

Our first real dramatic difference!
I might have been slightly handicapped the past couple of days, but I was still able to help Michel paint primer on the walls and help him paint the computer/family room upstairs last night and I grouted the floor of the half bath last night. Parts of the house are starting to feel more 'home-y' and we're getting more anxious to get the rest of it finished and move in.
So what do you think of the paint color for the computer/family room? Michel and I really, really like it. Michel wasn't too sure at first but the more he painted last night, the more he started to like it and eventually just fell in love with the color and the way it looks upstairs. We will also be using this same color in the half bath upstairs.

Prepped and Primed!
Last night we worked on priming the walls and ceilings in Darian's room and the family room portion of the upstairs. Today's plan is to paint in those rooms and grout the tile in the half baths upstairs.
I forgot to post the pictures of it last week, but we did get the tub set in the boys' bathroom, plus the concrete board laid and plumbing stubbed in.
