Half of the drywall is done!

The upstairs, Darian's room, living room, and the utility room are drywalled and finished! We spent yesterday evening sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting up the drywall dust from the walls and floors in those rooms. Today's plan is to start priming those rooms and start painting as soon as we can. Then Michel gets to finish up plumbing. The boys' bath has the tub set, and drywall hung and taped. The half bath upstairs has the tile set waiting for me to start grouting it tonight along with painting. Everything is finally starting to take shape!

She Likes Me, She Really Likes Me!

That, ladies and gentlemen, is a Bourbon Pecan Pie from my favorite boss! One of the many 'bonuses' I get working at the Litehouse Lunchbox. *Really big smile smiley here* Sometimes I just love me job. Oh, and I'm not sharing any of it yet. Talk to me in a couple of days. ;) And don't forget, "It's all about me!"

A few more sheets and then...

A couple of sheets are still needed in my scrapbook room, along the east and south walls upstairs and then it will be ready for them to start taping and mudding the drywall. Hopefully they will get started on that tomorrow afternoon!

Its Shrinking!

With drywall on the ceiling upstairs and drywall on the ceiling and a couple of walls in the living room, the rooms seem to have shrunk. My living room seemed so much bigger before when you could see through the wall to the kitchen. *sigh* But now I can really start to get a real feel for how big the room is and how much room I'll have for furniture.

Heads up!

We got some of the ceilings upstairs drywalled today. Just enough to cause an echo when you are up there talking.
(I don't post for 45 days and now I've posted three times in about 24 hours. What's up with that?!?)

Drywall Delivery!

The drywall for the upstairs, Darian's room and living room arrived this morning, so I had to take pictures. :D The drywaller will be back later with a lift to start hanging it. Can't wait to see the rooms really start to take shape and seem more like rooms. No more walking through the walls.

Its been 45 days since the last post, but nothing too exciting has happened during that time. We were hoping have a new stage start today, but it didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow the drywall will be delivered and the guys will be here to hang it in the living room, the front bedroom, and upstairs. If they can get it delivered and hung tomorrow, and the next crew comes in to start finishing it, we might have half of the house drywalled by the weekend!
